Appearance
Age: 51
Gender: male.
Height: 5’10″
Build: Once very fit, Ted now runs to hard fat: he won’t be running any races for fun, but if you slammed a door in his face, he’d punch through it. He looks like a middle-aged heavy weight boxer, who developed love of twinkies and Western clothes.
Hair: Salt and pepper, short, hides his bald spot under his hat. Sometimes grows a short beard, sometimes prefers to be clean-shaven.
Eyes: Brown.
Skin: Pale. Despite cowboy clothes, Ted hasn’t seen a ranch for years and years.
Favorite mode of fighting
Ted prefers a large heavy mace but is also fond of modified guns, especially revolvers.
Affiliation
Atlanta Chapter of the Order of Merciful Aid, Knight-Protector. As Knight-Protector, Ted oversees the activity of the Atlanta Order office.
Specialty
Seems to always know more than people expect he does. Demands exceptional results in unreasonable time and when his subordinates deliver, he takes it as a given. Dislikes any deviation from the human norm. Ted is very stubborn and has been known to dig his heels when it suits him.

Don’t shoot the messenger with one of Ted’s modified guns but I believe the word you meant to use in the sentence above is fond, not found.
Unless Ted likes to find modified guns. And really, who doesn’t enjoy the thrill of discovering a modified revolver?

I noticed that Ted had a name change. In Magic Bites it was Monahan and now it’s Moynahan
Ted equals LAMENESS!!! Ugh hate that guy. I hope kate ends up stabbing him or something as equally satisfying.
Oh I wanted to punch him in the face so much while reading book four!
Question – After the battle at the end of Magic Bleeds- it appeared that the sum of the people near the showdown were nuked. But I wasn’t clear if Ted was one of them so my question, is Ted dead?
I wondered the same thing, and although it probably says something bad about me, I hope he got crisped.
I personally believe that with all his hatred towards human hybrids that he is either a closeted shapeshifter, opperating outside of the pack, or has (had) a family member affiliated with the shapeshifters and has either lost contact or has since died. Maybe a wife or a child.
I really wish he gets fired of the Order in each book. I´ll keep wishing ´till the end of the series. If he doesn´t die or gets lost by then I´ll have to write a fanfic based on his destruction just to calm myself. He´s a total jerk. I really can´t see a single good quality on him, that is pretty sad.

Its all so easy to fall in love with the protagonists, but to be able to create such hatred for a side character! Roland is great as a ‘bad guy’,.. but Ted is a close second. I really consider this one of my favorite series along with Mercy Thompson and Miles Vorkosigan. Keep up the great job!
