‘unless you have a really good m-scanner’ so with the information from Magic Slays, about the pre-vamp stuff in her blood, she’d probably show up some mix of blue and red. Wait, doesn’t it say a lot that her magic shows up carmine? what is that anyway, some sort of red?

I believe in the first book, when she’s looking at the m-scan of Greg’s murder site, it mentions that Kate registers blue.

I’m a big fan of the series and it’s great to see an FAQ for the M-Scanner! I was wondering, what would something like a Japanese youkai show up as on the scanner? Super pale yellow? They’re not really dead and they’re not necessarily all demonic, so I was curious how they would scan out. Going to Japan next month and couldn’t get this out of my head!

Yes, even I wonder what color does Kate register on the M-scanner with her power words and her blood wards. I suspect it is towards the red side..since so much of her magic is of blood and death.
